The Volkswagen Karmann Ghia are a family of three overlapping sports car models produced by Volkswagen, marketed in 2+2 coupe (1955–1975) and 2+2 convertible (1957–1975) body styles.
The 1955 Type 14 Karmann Ghia was just the second Volkswagen passenger car ever produced, after the Beetle.
This incredibly restored 1974 VW Karman Ghia convertible in beautiful Phoenix Red over nicely upgraded black and gray tweed interior. This was a nut and bolt restoration with great care to maintain originality. The pan was replaced, engine & transaxle rebuilt and new interior were all parts of the restoration. There have been several upgrades including a Vintage Speed shifter linkage and Vintage Speed performance exhaust installed. A premium quality black mohair convertible top with folding glass rear window and fitted boot cover were also installed. The upgraded Enkei style alloy wheels definitely add to the sporty appearance while improving roadability. This is an amazing example of an Italian designed German sporty car.
