1976 Triumph TR6

1976 Triumph TR6

The TR6 is adored by British sports car fans as the last of the traditional hairy-chested English roadsters. While it’s possible to argue with the precise wording of that statement, the TR6 was certainly antique in many ways when it was introduced in late 1968. Karmann of Germany had done a masterful job of updating the TR4 body shell while actually changing very little. The 2.5 liter straight six, while not a powerhouse in emission controlled twin carburetor form, had plenty of torque and made some of the best sounds in sports cardom. TR6s are easy to maintain, good-looking, rugged and have easy parts availability. They make an ideal first collector car.

The last year of production for the Triumph TR6 and arguably the most collectible. This TR6 is a 2 owner with low mileage. The was first owned by a Raleigh, NC resident who kept it for 9 years. The second owner purchased the car in 1985 and moved it to Indiana. It was later stripped to bare metal and professionally show quality repainted in the Camine red using base coat/clear coat. There are records dating back to 1985 that accompany this car.

This TR6 is equipped with factory overdrive and Coker redline radial tires. This is one of the nicest TR6's avaible on the market.
